Getting ready for your first build.

Total beginners are welcome here. Here is everything you need to know, so you can walk in relaxed and ready to make something.

Comfy, closed, and safe

Nothing special, just a few small things that keep you safe around tools and dust.

Closed-toe shoes

No sandals or open toes. Sneakers or boots protect your feet from offcuts and dropped tools.

Clothes you can dust up

Wear something you do not mind getting a little sawdust on. Sleeves rolled up, or short sleeves, work best.

Tie back long hair

Long hair gets tied back, and dangling jewellery comes off. Loose things and spinning tools do not mix.

Honestly, just yourself

We provide everything: all the tools, materials, aprons, and safety gear, including goggles and ear protection. You do not need to buy or pack a thing. A couple of nice-to-haves below, and nothing else.

A bottle of water

Workshops are hands-on and warm. Bring water to stay refreshed, there is a refill point on site too.

Your phone, if you like

Optional. Many makers love snapping a photo of their finished build to take home and show off.

Your first ten minutes

You are looked after the whole way

For parents and guardians

Sending your child to make something for the first time? Here is how it works, so you know exactly what to expect.

Drop-off and pickup

Drop your child at the front and pick them up when the session ends. We will let you know the exact finish time when you book.

Wait in the lounge

Guardians are welcome to stay and relax in the lounge while your child builds. No need to wait far away.

Child-sized safety gear

Goggles, ear protection, and aprons all come in kid sizes, so the gear fits properly and feels comfortable.

Small guided groups

Ages 6 to 12 work independently in small, closely guided groups. Confidence-building, never overwhelming.

Before you head out

A tidy recap. If these five are sorted, you are good to go.

  • Closed-toe shoes on
  • Comfy clothes you can dust up
  • Long hair tied back
  • Arrive 10 minutes early
  • Told us about any allergies

Ready when you are.

Pick a date, walk in relaxed, and we will take care of the rest.
