We give a full year of woodworking to young makers with the passion for it, and to people for whom cost would otherwise be the only thing in the way.
Apply for a placeSome kids and teens take to making in a way you can see straight away. When the spark is there, we want to grow it. A scholarship gives that maker a full year to go deep, with real tools and real guidance.
A year of classes is a real cost, and we never want money to be the reason a willing maker stays out. If the workshop is what you want and the fees are out of reach, this is for you. Need-and-passion based, judged with care.
One scholarship covers a complete year of EITHER Junior Woodworker (ages 6 to 12) OR Kemahiran Hidup (ages 13 and up). Everything you need to take part is included.
A scholarship is a gift of a year, and it works best when it goes both ways. Here is what we ask of you in return.
Turn up for class through the year. Consistency is where the skill is built, and your place is one someone else would have loved.
Treat the workshop, the machines, and the shared space the way the next maker would want to find them. Clean bench, sharp tools, no waste.
Lend a hand at a Pesta Bina community day, or mentor a newer maker once you have found your feet. Pay the year forward.
Places are limited each intake, so we take real care choosing. Here is the whole path, with nothing hidden.
Fill in the application form on this page. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
We read your motivation and your circumstances, both matter, neither alone.
A short conversation or a trial session, so we can meet you and you can meet the shop.
We ask gently about your household context. It is kept private and never shared.
A small panel chooses each intake. Places are limited, so not everyone can be placed, but we read every application.
Tell us a little about yourself. Everything you share here is confidential, and applying is completely free.
Your application is confidential and applying is free. We read every one.
If you are even a little bit drawn to making things, apply. The worst that happens is a friendly chat. WhatsApp us if you would rather ask first.
